---><---

Name: Tyne

Age: 17

Race/Species: half Elvaan, half Tarutaru

Jobs: 21 Thief / 10 Warrior / 7 White Mage

Distinguishing Marks: Tarutaru ears

Family: Father, mother, brother (Chakotay)

Likes: Being helpful, getting money for being helpful, money in general, bugging Darkwyrm, fighting with Chako, fighting with Beastmen, the Thief AF hat, her beloved chocobo.

Dislikes: Dragoons, people who can't position themselves correctly to allow her to do her special attacks, people who don't know how to use "provoke", healers who heal you when someone else needs it more, wild onions, her father, crafting, not making money, Chako trying to con her out of money.

Fav. Saying: "Well shite... I died again."

Hobbies: Farming, chocobo riding, making money ((and then spending it in stupid ways)), flirting with every mithra she knows except Queen Inarri ((because Sordivar would kill her))

Weaknesses: She lacks a lot of strength compared to pretty much everyone who isn't a healer or a theif, she has less speed & agility than any theifly mithra ((which annoys her)), frequently too kind for her own good, doesn't always understand "big city" talk and thus comes across as a total idiot.

Stengths:

Current Weapons: Fire Sword, Dagger, Boomerang.

Description: Tyne is short for an Elvaan-- although exceedingly tall for her Tarutaru roots. She has white eyes and white hair, with a fair complextion that comes from wearing full battle armor for the past couple years. Her hair is shoulder-length in a straight cut, with a small section beside her face "sectioned off" with black ribbon. She is often mistaken for a young boy, due to her lack of noticable breasts ((tarutaru heritage, again)), and although her most recent armor has helped to avoid that issue, it's likely to come up again when she starts wearing full clothing again. Her ears are longer than most Elvaan, and they are tipped in black like any normal Tarutaru's. She spends an obscene amount of time covering her ears to look vaguely "normal".

Personality: Tyne is a chipper happy sort-- on the outside, at least. She noticably hordes her money, and refuses to lend money to even her younger brother, Chakotay ((although, she has been known to agree to help out various people when they need help-- as long as it doesn't require giving up her money)). Viscious when in battle, she rarely watches out for any other member of the raiding parties, instead prefering to steal whatever she can from their unsuspecting target. She's far to impatient to learn her father's trade-- blacksmithing-- or any other trade for that matter. All she cares about is having a warm body to sleep next to, someone/thing to steal from, and a good fight.

History: Tyne grew up in Selbina with her father ((her brother, Chakotay, grew up in Mhaura with their mother)). Every few weeks, she and her father would brave the boat ride to Mhaura in order to see her mother, brother, and grandparents, and it was there that Tyne began her career as a thief-- from stealing from wealthy passengers. She was caught several times in the beginning as any would-be thief would be, but she quickly learned that a seven year old with wide watery eyes and a sad smile could get her out of damned near everything.

Essentially, that was her entire life, until she was fifteen years old. That was when Windurst was freed from Beastman control and rebuilt to it's former glory. Her brother suddenly taking off to fight for Windurst inspired her to brave the trip to San D'oria, despite the many, many, many times she could have died. She pledged herself to fight for San D'oria, and has since then done just that-- while hiding the amount of gil and items she's taken from her kills, so as not to be taxed for them.

Her father has been desperate to get her to come back and give up the life of an adventurer, but Tyne refuses to do so-- going as far as never remaining in San D'oria for any length of time, so he can't find her. The help of her linkshell-mates helps; especially when you take into consideration the people in her LS-- the "Queen of Vana'diel", the "President of Bastok", the leader of the Taru mafia, and many, many more.
